A hearty cooling smoothie bowl packed full of fibre, vitamins, healthy fats and antioxidant properties.

I am a lover of porridge for breakfast but sometimes in the summer, it is simply too warm. This recipe is my go-to smoothie bowl that never fails to satisfy me. Perfect for breakfast, snacks or even as a dessert instead of ice cream.
Tip: Add ice cubes to the mixture to create a thick (frappe/sorbet) consistency.
Ingredients:
frozen berries (blueberries, strawberries, raspberries)
1/2 frozen banana
Non-dairy milk (coconut, almond, oat, soy)
flavourless or vanilla protein powder (optional)
Nuts and seeds and fresh fruit to top
Ice cubes (optional)
Method:
In your blender add 2 handfuls of frozen berries, break up the banana and add this to the berries, add a few ice cubes and the protein powder (optional).
Starting small pour in the milk until the ingredients are covered and blend. Add more milk to create desired consistency.
Serve and top with fresh fruit, nuts and seeds ( I like to top mine with some fresh banana slices, chia and sunflower seeds.
Enjoy!
